About Of University

Kota University is a state (public) university located in the Kota district of Rajasthan. It was established through the Kota University Act 2003 enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature and approved by the Governor of Rajasthan. Mr. NC Jain, the Governor of Rajasthan was the first Chancellor of the University and Prof. B. Ale. Verma was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the university. The university is recognized by the UGC under u/s 2 in the year 2003 and u/s 12 in the year 2012. The university offers research work as well as undergraduate and postgraduate courses are operated. The Governor of Rajasthan Shri Kalraj Mishra is the Chancellor of the University and Prof. Neelima Singh is the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

There are about 175 colleges and autonomous departments affiliated to the University in six districts of Rajasthan State – Kota, Jhalawar, Bundi, Baran, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur. The university has six faculties - Arts, Science, Social Science, Commerce and Management, Law and Education.
